LSSTFboss to lead discussion at Lagos NIPR clinic

Lagos Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, the flagship Chapter of the NIPR  has  announced that Executive Secretary/CEO, Lagos State Security Trust Fund, Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun as the guest lecturer at the February edition of its PR Clinic with the theme; The Role of the Citizens and Security Forces in Protecting Women, Children and the Vulnerable.


The PR Clinic will hold at, Ikeja, Lagos on February 2, 2017.


Recognizing that security is a business of all, the theme aims to beam the klieg light on the interdependent relationship between the citizens, security forces and stakeholders in the prevention, management and mediation of crisis through better understanding of their role in its management.


Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun is a multi-disciplinary professional; a Medical Doctor, Administrator and Legislator with over thirteen years’ experience spanning public administration, human resources, policy, budgeting statistics and ethics. He held the position of Deputy Majority-Leader and Chief-whip during his time at Lagos State House of Assembly.


The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) was established in 2007 by a Law of the State House of Assembly for the sole purpose of raising funds and other resources with the aim of supporting Security Agencies in the State (particularly the Rapid Response Squad – RRS) in combating crime in the State.


The Fund has focused on the state government’s tripod strategy of security, job creation and improved infrastructure. With security at the forefront, Lagos State has increasingly become attractive to businesses and investors, which in turn has been generating more taxes and paving the way for more infrastructural development.


The Lagos PR Clinic is a talk-shop to share functional ideas on how best to leverage the power of public relations to manage contents that gets stakeholders engaged. The Clinic has featured notable speakers over the years and has become a rich resource for communications practitioners and the media.
