Samantha Bistro joins restaurant business, promises excellence

An indigenous restaurant business but with international touch, Samantha’s Bistro has joined the over N250 billion industry as the firm opens shop at off Alfred Rewane, formerly Kingsway Road, Ikoyi.
With intention to serve both foreign and local visitors, the owners of Samantha’s segmented the restaurant into Bistro and Village Grille sections. Samantha’s Bistro offers a weekly changing menu of well-prepared hearty meals. With an indoor cafe and outdoor grill known as The Village Grille; there is something for everyone. You will find Italian, British and French influences in the style of cooking that Executive Chef Dumebi Agbakoba has adopted, the brand owners said.
The Village Grille runs from 5pm – 10pm every day, with in-house DJ playing every Friday and a live band on the last Friday of every month to entertain guests.
Yetty Ogunnubi, special events and communication manager, Samantha Lifestyle told journalists during the unveiling of the restaurant recently in Lagos that both the Bistro and the Grille can contain about 200 guests.
According to her, the restaurant with its international standard and ambience has also adopted home and office delivery which will start mid next month.
Also speaking, Dumebi Agbakoba, executive director who faces the challenge of providing her own electricity often times to keep the business cosy and comfortable for guests said she got the passion of the business at early age and Samantha’s is like the end of the product of all her talent. samantha'sAccording to her, she is out to serve guests who love good food.
With the restaurant, Dumebi is fulfilling her dream. Dumebi Agbakoba, who had the vision to be a creator and entrepreneur from a young age and as she grows, the opportunity to chase the vision came into view, and she powered ahead to make it a reality.
Now ready for a fresh challenge, she is transitioning into the role of private chef, maximising on her natural flair for cooking that she had from a young age, and her ability to cook dishes that don’t just tickle the taste buds, but absolutely ravish them.
It is expected that the restaurant will attract guests within the enviroment as there are no many such places in Ikoyi and its environs
