There is high level poaching going on within the top multinationals in the country as Rotimi Oyesiji is set to dump Unilever Nigeria for Coca-Cola Nigeria.
Oyesiji, who was a marketing-tooth in the Akin Adeoya’s Marketing Mix in the mid 2000, will be leaving the multi-products company, Unilever Nigeria, at the end of November and he is expected to team up in January with Mrs. Patricia Jemibewon, the current marketing director of Coca-Cola Nigeria Limited.
Sources said Oyesiji is already excited about the prospect the world leading soft drink presents.
The 2000 Mass Communication/Media Studies graduate from the University of Lagos joined Unilever Nigeria in January 2010 as a category manager, Skin Cleansing.
Oyesiji spent 6 years and 2 months on that position until he was promoted Category Manager, Fabclean, in 2014 and in the same 2014, he was promoted Divisional Sales Manager, Lagos. To keep him on the job, he was recently promoted Head, Trade Category Management.
Oyesiji is expected to manage the fruit segment category that seems not to be doing well in the market.
